She was last seen by staff members at Skyline Place, located at Sylva Lane near Cabezut Rd in Sonora around 10pm. She is believed to have left on foot in an unknown direction to walk her dog Poncho, a small tan chihuahua mix.

Barbara is described as approximately 5’2”, 130lbs with short gray hair and glasses. She was last seen wearing a black and red flannel top, jeans and tennis shoes and is considered at risk due to dementia.
Barbara is a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother as well as a dear family friend. Her son is a local pharmacist with several pharmacies in the area. We're all working around the clock to bring her and Poncho home safe. The Tuolumne County Sheriff's Department and Tuolumne County Search and Rescue have been instrumental in the search since her disappearance. On Sunday, August 24th at around 1 PM, the California Highway Patrol issued a statewide Silver Alert for Barbara.
Sunday, August 24 - The TSCO, TSAR, and several family members and friends have continued the search this morning. We have canvassed the local shopping plazas, adjoining neighborhoods, and are continuing looking in the undeveloped land surrounding her home.
